How to delete your account

1. Open VINDecoded on the web at vindecoded.com or in the VINDecoded Android / iOS app.
2. Sign in with the same email or Google account you use for VINDecoded.
3. Go to Account (from the side menu: Account).
4. Tap or click Delete Account, then confirm. This permanently removes your account and signs you out.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, or prefer not to use the in-app flow, email privacy@VINDecoded.com with:

• The subject line "VINDecoded account deletion request"
• The email address associated with your VINDecoded account
• A clear request to delete your account and associated personal data

We will verify ownership of the account and process the deletion request. Please allow a reasonable time for verification and completion.

What is deleted

When your VINDecoded account is deleted, we remove the personal account data tied to that account (for example, your login identity and account profile information). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Certain information may be retained where required for legitimate purposes such as security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or accounting, as described in our Privacy Policy. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you may also be retained.

Purchases and subscriptions

Deleting your VINDecoded account does not automatically cancel purchases or subscriptions managed by Apple or Google. If you have an active subscription through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in that store's subscription settings before or after deleting your account.
